  32.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of the
  33.        Acrobat Reader product.

  35.        You can use Software Manager and the installation
  36.        instructions in the _P_e_r_s_o_n_a_l _S_y_s_t_e_m _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e to
  37.        install this product.  If you are installing this software
  38.        for the first time, the default subsystems are installed if
  39.        you click the _I_n_s_t_a_l_l _A_u_t_o_m_a_t_i_c_a_l_l_y button.  To install a
  40.        different set of subsystems, click the _C_u_s_t_o_m_i_z_e
  41.        _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n button and make your new selections.  Then
  42.        click the _S_t_a_r_t button to launch the installation.

  44.        Note:  The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to

  75.        using Software Manager.  You do not need to use the
  76.        miniroot. Refer to the _P_e_r_s_o_n_a_l _S_y_s_t_e_m _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e
  77.        for complete installation instructions.

  79.        If a pre-manufacturing release of the Acrobat Reader has
  80.        been installed on your system, it is advisable to deinstall
  81.        the Acrobat Reader prior to installing the manufacturing
  82.        release of this product.

  84.        2.4  _C_o_n_f_i_g_u_r_a_t_i_o_n__F_i_l_e_s

  86.        If you are using this Acrobat Reader with a World Wide Web
  87.        browser other than Netscape Navigator 1.0S, then be sure to
  88.        configure your browser's configuration files _m_i_m_e._t_y_p_e_s and
  89.        _m_a_i_l_c_a_p.  Below are the relevant modifications:

  91.        mime.types: type=application/pdf           exts=pdf
  92.  
  93.        mailcap: application/pdf; acroread %s; description="Adobe
  94.               Acrobat document"
  95.  
  96.        Making these modifications will allow your browser to
  97.        automatically launch the Acrobat Reader product if the
  98.        transferred document is in PDF format.  Both of these files
  99.        can also be referred in your home directory.
